Rental Terms & Conditions

Bike Collection

When collecting a bicycle or e-bike, the renter must present a valid ID and sign the rental agreement. Before handover, we will explain how to operate the bike, including the brakes, gears, and, in the case of e-bikes, the electric assistance system.

The rental price includes a fully prepared e-bike, a helmet, and a basic safety and operation briefing.

Refundable Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of €150 per rented e-bike is required upon collection.

The deposit is taken as a pre-authorization hold on the renter’s credit or debit card.

The hold will be released once the bike and all accessories are returned in good condition, without damage beyond normal wear and tear.

Riding Safety

A properly fitted and securely fastened cycling helmet must be worn at all times while riding.

The rider must adapt their speed and riding style to their abilities, the route conditions, current weather, and the technical condition of the bike.

Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

Use of the Bicycle

The rented bicycle may only be used by the person named in the rental agreement.

The bicycle is intended for recreational and sporting use on cycling routes, forest roads, and trails appropriate to the rider’s experience and skill level.

Without prior approval from RideHub, the bicycle may not be lent to another person, nor may any technical modifications or repairs be performed on the bicycle or e-bike.

E-Bikes

When riding an e-bike, we recommend using appropriate gears and avoiding gear changes under heavy load.

Only an approved charger may be used for charging the battery.

Any stated e-bike range is indicative only and depends on factors such as route profile, rider weight, assistance mode, and weather conditions.

Breakdown or Accident

In the event of a breakdown, fall, or accident, please contact us as soon as possible.

If continuing to ride could cause further damage to the bicycle or compromise safety, the ride must be stopped immediately.

Protection of the Bicycle

Throughout the rental period, the renter is responsible for protecting the bicycle and accessories from damage, loss, and theft.

Unless agreed otherwise in advance, the bicycle must not be left unattended overnight.

GPS Protection

Some RideHub bicycles are equipped with GPS tracking devices for protection against loss and theft.

GPS devices must not be removed, disconnected, damaged, or otherwise disabled.

Location data is used solely for bicycle protection, technical assistance, and the resolution of cases involving loss, theft, or damage.

Returning the Bicycle

The bicycle must be returned at the agreed time, to the agreed location, together with all borrowed accessories.

If the renter expects to be late returning the bicycle, RideHub must be informed immediately.
